Swedish Solør Bioenergy Group completed private placement of SEK 720 million (USD 100 million)

Solør Bioenergy Group completed a private placement of SEK 720 million with a group of large international US and UK based industrial companies through their long term pension plans. These institutional investors advised by Vantage Consulting Group acquired shares representing a shareholding of 28.6%.

Solør Bioenergy Group is an industrial group specialized in wood-based bioenergy and comprises bioenergy companies which are providing essential energy services in Sweden and Norway. The Group produces wood-based bioenergy for the public and private sector including private households, municipalities, industrial customers and local/regional governments.

All contractual documents (investment agreement and shareholders’ agreement) were governed by Swiss law. Lenz & Staehelin advised the institutional investors as Swiss counsel jointly with Vinge (Swedish law) and Pryor Cashman LLP (US law).
