Lenz & Staehelin elects Martin Aebi as Arbitration Counsel
We have pleasure in informing you that Martin Aebi became arbitration counsel of our firm on 1 March 2011.
Martin Aebi is an expert in the field of international commercial arbitration, with an emphasis on intellectual property and technology related disputes. He graduated from the University of St. Gallen in 1999 and subsequently joined Lenz & Staehelin as a trainee lawyer. After his bar admission in 2002, Martin Aebi returned to our firm as an associate. In 2004, he completed his doctorate thesis as a visiting scholar at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law in Munich, and thereafter obtained an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School in New York (2005). Upon his return from the US, Martin Aebi also worked as a member of the international arbitration practice group in our Geneva office (2006/2007), as well as the international arbitration practice of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr in London (2007/2008). In addition to his work as counsel in arbitration proceedings, Martin Aebi has extensive experience with intellectual property and unfair competition law disputes before Swiss courts.
