The Capital Markets and Technology Association (CMTA) publishes its first AML Standards
On 18 October 2018, the Capital Markets and Technology Association (CMTA) published its AML Standards for Digital Assets. These standards, the first to be published by the CMTA, will provide guidance for the treatment of digital assets by both businesses and financial intermediaries.
Founded by Lenz & Staehelin, Swissquote Bank SA and Temenos Group AG, and supported by Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the CMTA's purpose is to facilitate the use of the blockchain technology in financial markets.
